Vessel inspection

Our vessel inspection service is intended to support Clients’ operations by providing them with an independent resource. SMSL conducts vessel inspections and investigations on behalf of Flag States, owners, managers, operators and charterers.

Vessel inspections, often undertaken in tandem with vessel audits, provide interested parties with an impartial view of the condition of the vessel and the effectiveness of the vessel’s management. Reporting methods are always discussed with clients so that our report meets their exact needs.  SMSL will use IMCA-CMID or Code of Practice inspection formats as appropriate to vessel type and class.
